Bulmers Irish Cider

This was a new chapter for Bulmers Irish Cider. Their goal was to produce a glass that could maintain their signature effervescent for longer. Working alongside one of Ireland’s leading photographers, Gerry Morgan, I art-directed and retouched this iconic image of the pint, which is still used as the master ‘go-to’ shot for the Bulmer’s brand. From the lighting to the embossing on the side of the glass, my goal was to showcase its true engineering beauty.

Post Production

Creating the best in product photography is one of the foundations of a strong brand identity. It is important to correctly communicate and showcase the look and feel of your brand to genuinely connect with your customers.

Product photography is my jam and the Bulmer’s shoot involved all of my experience and creative instincts to really make it stand out. Getting the theme/vibe right is far easier said than done. IN this instance, there were specific challenges - for example, the glass had the word ‘Original’ embossed on either side, which meant that the back-light projecting through it created a distorted visual effect. I devised a way to counter this by shooting the glass from either side and comped it together in post production. The post production on this shot took about 3 days. A lot of fun and a great end result!
